World Book Day (5º y 6º E.P.)

Some and any

En la imagen inferior, repasamos el uso de a y an antes de nombres contables en singular, por ejemplo:

He has got a rubber - Él tiene una goma

We have got an orange ball - Nosotros tenemos una pelota naranja

Usamos some en frases afirmativas cuando no sabemos la cantidad exacta, ya sean nombres contables o incontables, por ejemplo:

There are some apples in the fridge - Hay algunas manzanas en el frigorífico (contable)

There is some honey  - Hay algo de miel (incontable)

Usamos any en frases negativas e interrogativas cuando no sabemos tampoco la cantidad exacta tanto con nombres contables como con incontables, por ejemplo:

There aren´t any apples in the fridge - No hay manzanas en el frigorífico

Are there any apples in the fridge? Yes, there are / No, there aren´t - ¿Hay manzanas en el frigo? Sí hay/ No hay

There isn´t any honey - No hay miel

Is there any honey? Yes, there is/ No, there isn´t - ¿Hay algo de miel? Sí hay / No hay

Present perfect tense 6º EP

Hello everybody. Welcome to the second term in this new year 2021.

In unit number 3, we are going to learn the present perfect tense.

We use present perfect to talk about actions that happened in the past and have a result in the present.
To form the present perfect, we use has/have + past participle. An example:

Affirmative: I have eaten
Negative: You haven´t eaten
Interrogative: Has she eaten? Yes, she has/ No, she hasn´t

To form the past participle of regular verbs, we add -ed to the verb: play- played.
You have to study the past participle of irregular verbs.

You can study the past participle form of some irregular verbs in this list:
Here you have a video with the explanation of present perfect and more examples:
