Question words

Now is time to review the questions words in English (what, which, how, why, where, when, ...). We use them to ask questions.  Don´t forget the structure of the questions with these wh- words:

question word + auxiliar + subject + verb

Should and must (6º E.P.)

Should and must are modals verbs.

We use must in sentences to give orders when there is no option because it is something you have to do or if we want to tell someone not to do something, we can use it in the negative form:

must not or mustn´t

For example:

You must do your homework

You mustn´t use your mobile phone in class

We use should in sentences to give advice or suggestions or basically to tell someone what would be good in a situation or if we want to tell someone what wouldn´t be good in a situation we can use it in negative form

should not or shouldn´t

For example:

You should eat healthy foods, you shouldn´t eat sweets.

Healthy and delicious pumpkin soup

Now, what can we do with so many pumpkins? 

What do you think if we make  pumpkin soup? This is a healthy and delicious recipe. Cooking this recipe is very easy but you have to be careful with your fingers and the knife because the pumpkin is very hard to cut.

Vooks Narrated Storybooks

 At school, we have made some pumpkins, coloured some pictures, listened to songs and have watched videos and a piece of the film  Hotel Transilvania 1 in English.

Castles: from the past to the future (sexto B, curso 21-22)

Durante el pasado curso escolar, desde el área de inglés, llevamos a cabo un proyecto

eTwinning llamado “Castles: from the past to the future”. El hilo conductor fueron los

castillos, tomando como punto de partida los castillos en la época medieval para llegar

a analizar bajo qué circunstancias utilizaríamos los castillos en un futuro, como por

ejemplo, pandemias, epidemias, cambio climático, etc.

En este proyecto participaron cuatro países: los alumnos de 6ºB junto con alumnos de

República Checa, Polonia y Turquía.

A lo largo de todos esos meses, trabajamos sobre distintos aspectos, cabe destacar la

creación de maquetas de diferentes tipos de castillos, elaboración de juegos de mesas

y sus reglas, edición de videos y el uso de distintas herramientas 2.0 para la creación

de infografías, cuestionarios, presentaciones, etc. ¡Hasta escribimos una carta a Her

Majesty The Queen Elisabeth II!

Como actividad final, se crearon grupos mixtos de trabajo con alumnos de los cuatro

países. En dichos grupos, los alumnos colaboraron e intercambiaron información para

crear su propio reinado.

Para completar y dar una visión aún más práctica a nuestro proyecto se programó una

excursión con visita guiada al Castillo de Calatrava La Nueva y Sacro Convento,

donde los alumnos pudieron ver reflejado todo lo aprendido.

Fue una experiencia muy enriquecedora donde todos aprendimos y disfrutamos

mucho.

En Junio de 2022 nuestro Proyecto fue premiado con el Sello de Calidad eTwinning.

Cabe destacar que cuando regresamos de las vacaciones de verano teníamos una

carta de WINDSOR CASTLE donde la REINA ISABEL II nos agradecía que le

hubiésemos enviado una carta contándole un poquito de nosotros y de nuestro

proyecto.

Castle: from the past to the future (6ºB)

 Durante el presente curso escolar, desde el área de inglés, hemos llevado a cabo un proyecto eTwinning llamado “Castle: from the past to the future”. El hilo conductor han sido los castillos, tomando como punto de partida los castillos en la época medieval hasta llegar a analizar bajo qué situaciones utilizaríamos los castillos en un futuro, por ejemplo, pandemias, epidemias, cambio climático, etc. En este proyecto han participado los alumnos de 6B junto con alumnos de República Checa, Polonia y Turquía.

A lo largo de todos estos meses hemos trabajado sobre distintos aspectos, creación de maquetas de castillos, elaboración de juegos de mesa, utilización de herramientas 2.0 para crear infografías… Como proyecto final se han creado grupos mixtos de trabajo donde los alumnos de los cuatro países están trabajando en crear su propio reinado.

Para completar y dar una visión aún más práctica a nuestro proyecto se ha programado una excursión con visita guiada al Castillo de Calatrava que tendrá lugar el próximo jueves, 26 de mayo.
