FOOD AND CLOTHES IN CHRISTMAS (2º EP)

 En segundo de Educación Primaria hemos trabajado algunos alimentos que se toman en Navidad en los países de habla inglesa y hemos hablado un poco de las tradiciones. Aprovechamos para repasar las estructuras gramaticales "I like/ I don´t like, He/She likes/ doesn´t like ...". Aquí tenéis algunos ejemplos.

También aprovechando Christmas, hemos repasado vocabulario de la ropa y estructuras con "I´m wearing/ I´m not wearing, He/She is/isn´t wearing ..."

CHRISTMAS (1º EP)

 Como es tradición, hemos escuchado Christmas Carols con Super Simple Songs y hemos aprendido y trabajado diferentes fichas con vocabulario de Navidad (elf, Christmas tree, Santa, gift, ...). 

Algunos alumnos también nos presentan a su familia y nos dicen alguna cosilla de ellos, si son altos, bajos, jóvenes, ... Estos trabajos son todo un logro que han conseguido con trabajo y esfuerzo en este primer trimestre. Felicidades a todos.

HALLOWEEN

En Infantil hemos disfrutado mucho con las historias de Pocoyó y de sus amigos en una casa encantada el día de Halloween.

Espero que os guste y que disfrutéis tanto como nosotros.

También hemos escuchado canciones relacionadas con esta festividad de Super Simple Songs, aquí podéis ver y escuchar algunas.

Por supuesto, hemos aprendido léxico básico sobre Halloween y coloreado las tradicionales "pumpkins". Mirad que trabajo tan estupendo hemos realizado y lo bien que nos lo hemos pasado.

En los cursos de Educación Primaria y cumpliendo con uno de los saberes básicos de esta etapa dentro del área de inglés que es conocer aspectos socioculturales elementales y más significativos relativos a las costumbres en países donde se habla la lengua extranjera, hemos realizado actividades con léxico y expresiones de esta festividad y hemos iniciado el visionado de varias películas relacionadas con el tema, por supuesto, en inglés y con los subtítulos en inglés. Las películas han sido:

• THE HOUSE WITH A CLOCK IN ITS WALLS

Os animo a que las veáis en casa.

THE TITLE OF THE STORY: Horror Life👻

One day Alis,  a six-year-old girl while she was sleeping, she had a very scary nightmare. She started to scream. When she woke up, she saw her parents.

They were terribly scared because the girl was turning pale before their eyes. They immediately took her to the hospital. When they left the estate, Alis started behaving strangely…

 

The doctors thought that she was rare because of the medicine so he told her parents to go home. That night her parents went to sleep scared. The mother got up because she heard one noise and looked at the ceiling and found the child glued to the ceiling with the head back to front.

 

Her behaviour was so strange that one day she appeared in the bedroom of her parents with a knife…

THE TITLE OF THE STORY: The Blue men

One day in a restaurant, after drinking a blue drink, a man got up from his chair, crawled and woke up in the hospital. The doctors told him that someone must have given him something to drink, they still don't know what it was. Suddenly, he turned around, fell over and lost consciousness.

As time went by, he regained consciousness and when he woke up he realised that his body was blue, so he got nervous and didn't know what to do, so he called the doctor and told him to calm down.

THE TITLE OF THE STORY: The secret of books

                                                 Bad tree                                                                                                    One day, a girl went to the library and read a book about the bad tree. It all started when the girl decided to borrow the book and went home. She read this book for 1 month, when she stopped reading the whole book, she went to sleep and when she woke up, she was not in bed but in a terrible forest. She was terribly scared and she was not alone in this forest.

She followed walking and suddenly she fell down in a river… and  she swam and swam until she reached the shore.  Then she went out of the river and she lied down to restmir in the shadow of a tree, but then she realised that the tree was the bad tree of her book.

POSTCARDS (5º EP)

 To finish this term, we have learned vocabulary about our free time and the future tense. These are some postcards that the students of fifth level have written to practice:

Dear Sofía,

I’m in the Ruidera Lagoons with my two friends, their names are Luna and Estrella.

We were hot and swim in the water.

In the afternoon, we did cycling and climbing. 

And at night, we camped in the forest. We played chess and cards and we ate an omelette, sausages and chocolate ice cream for dinner.

We had a fun time!

Hello, I am in a camp with my friends. The camp is in Toledo, I do many sports but my favourite sport is climbing and football. I’m in a cabin with 4 new friends. They are called Marcos, Lucía, Marta and Alonso.

I do sports of water and I enjoy canoeing.

Yesterday we went hiking in the mountains and after we were sailing in the lake. The water was really good!

Sailing was very funny. My friends and I went to cabin and saw a film and after we had dinner. My cabin had got 6 bunk bed. I made 3 new friends. Their names were Lucía, Lara and Mary.

I’m having a great time. Yesterday, we went running in the morning. Today, I played basketball with my friends. My new friends are great at sports.

Dearest mom,

How are you? I’m very well because I’m having the best comp of all my life. It is very funny talk with the ten boys of my group. Their names are Ben, Eric, Luis, Leonard, Dwayne, Alejandro, Jake, Finn, Jesus, and Juan. They are very nice. I always go cycling with them at country sides, but if it is raining, we play board games or watch movies.        

There are so many sports, like volleyball, basketball, football, hiking, climbing… And water sports, like swimming and canoeing. I forgot bring my basketball, but Jake gave me his ball. I always wear shorts, T-shirt, sunglasses, shoes and underwear, of course. I can’t wait to see you, I miss you.

Happy Earth Day !! (Part 2)

 Ya tenemos veredicto del Concurso de marcapáginas de la Biblioteca Municipal "Ana de Castro" y ninguno de nuestros alumnos ha ganado, pero tenemos que estar muy contentos porque de los 1087 marcapáginas entregados, 13 de los nuestros han sido  seleccionados para la exposición que podemos ver en la Biblioteca estos días.

Desde el Departamento de Inglés os felicitamos a todos los participantes por el interés mostrado, el esfuerzo y el trabajo realizado, y una especial felicitación a todos los seleccionados. A continuación, podéis verlos.
